The Fallen Eagle Redfish Classic is a nonprofit fishing tournament that was created to help raise money that will be used towards an academic scholarship for Florida Gulf Coast University students. This tournament and scholarship was created in memory of a fallen Florida Gulf Coast University student, Jesse M. Woodyard, who was taken from this world too soon. Last year the Jesse M. Woodyard Redfish classic raised money for Jesse’s family to help pay off Jesse’s student loans, funeral cost, and any other expenses during that tragic time. The tournament team would now like to help out students like Jesse that had to take loans out, to have an opportunity to recieve money for school from this scholarship.
