SNOOKTOPIA!!!!
It’s a get together of mostly kayak anglers to chase the giant snook of the beautiful Loxahatchee River. Jonathan Dickinson State Park is the perfect location to camp,RV or get rent a cabin. Contact park to make your reservations. Everyone is welcome. Some anglers fish mostly daytime and a bunch don’t mind losing sleep to have an opportunity at one of Florida’s strongest fighting inshore fish. August is not during snook season, so this is most definitely a catch and release event. Pictures are great. Please be extremely quick and mindful while handling these amazing fish.
In 1998 I moved away from the Loxahatchee area. Fishing the River was an every weekend event for my Dad, Brother and I and has given me many of my most fondest memories. This event is based on the 3 to 4 sleepless nights that I’ve done my best dedicate every year to reliving those days.
Got to say we’ve been making some great new memories along the way. Bring your fishing partners, family or a newbie and try your chance at landing a river monster.
