The IGFA Light Tackle Invitational Palm Beach 2020
This exclusive two-day tournament will take place during peak sailfish season in South Florida. With a maximum line class of 12-pound and strict adherence to IGFA Angling Rules, the IGFA Light Tackle Invitational is a genuine “angler’s tournament,” and a platform for light tackle anglers from around the world to showcase their skills and sportsmanship.
All proceeds from the IGFA Light Tackle Invitational will benefit the IGFA Great Marlin Race, the world’s most extensive billfish satellite tagging program, securing the future of billfish stocks across the globe through productive science.

Learn, practice skills and have a chance to go freshwater fishing at the Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing at IGFA Dania Beach, FL Feb. 8 from 10 am to 3 pm. Topics taught by Capt. Brian Leibowitz include rod and reel basics, lure usage, casting techniques, fish retrieval, fish release, strategy and conservation, followed by hands-on fishing skill practice for knot tying, spin casting, releasing, fish fighting techniques and more. After the lunch break is fishing from land for peacock bass and other freshwater species. The Miami International Boat Show will have our Just Catamarans Service team on display with RELiON Battery in the main Electronics tent at C166, led by RELiON Specialist and Just Catamarans Service Managers Rafael Escobar and Laurent Facchin with the rest of the Service team.
Look for Just Catamarans to have a mini-boat show at our marina in Harbour Towne, one mile south of the Fort Lauderdale Airport. We will have a selection of brokerage catamarans for sale and available for inspection and look to have an Outremer on display.
The Quest for the Crest is back for the 2020 season and BIGGER than ever before. NEW changes to be announced and debuted in the upcoming series – stay tuned!

With 3 checkpoints: Lakeworth Inlet in Palm Beach, Hillsboro Inlet in Pompano Beach, and Government Cut in Miami
Flexibility is the name of the game in the Sailfish Challenge, Leg 2 of the Quest for the Crest Series. If the bite shifts north or south, this signature format gives teams the opportunity to get to the fish and still make check-in at the end of the day!
The 3-inlet format isn’t the only signature aspect of the Challenge. The tournament also boasts a unique “Coin Challenge” competition that randomly assigns teams in groups by color to see who can release the most sailfish in the tournament!
There will be a NEW location for the kickoff party – Stay tuned for the announcement!!!
Blue Moon Fish Company, a 5-star seafood restaurant on the water in Ft. Lauderdale, is the host venue for the awards ceremony.

Calcutta style – $20 per boat entry. Mystery fish will be determined and announced by random drawing via Facebook Live in the ACGFA Member Forum (make sure to join the group if you haven’t already) on Friday evening @ 7pm sharp. Largest fish (weight) takes all!
Registration and $20 fee deadline is Wednesday, Feb 19th by 8pm. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Weigh-in will be under pavilion at Vilano Boat Ramp on Saturday from 3-5pm. Club fishing rules apply. Light snacks provided.
