We are back to work here at Everglades City School and excited about our 3^rd Annual Hook’em in the Glades fishing fundraiser tournament! Our administrators and staff are in full swing preparing for another great year! We are hoping you will be returning as an angler for the 3rd Annual Hook’em! We have great news to share. Everglades City School earn an A+ school rating for the first time! We are very proud of the hard work our students and staff have invested!

There are a couple of changes that we feel like everyone will love! First, the new On-Shore junior angler’s division! We are going to have more kids fishing and having a great day with a parent or guardian than we have before. Kids will be measuring fish, taking pictures, adding points, and recording data on their fish sheets! We are also excited to have The Metal Edge create our junior angler trophies for both Boat Division and On-Shore Division! They turned out fantastic! Estrada Art has returned as our long sleeve performance fishing shirt! They look great too! Clyde Butcher is donating prints for our adult angler winners again!

We will be holding the entire event at the Everglades Isle RV Resort here in Everglades City. Captain’s dinner will be at Everglades Isle on Friday, Sept. 20. They also have a boat ramp right on the property with over 100 boat slips. There is a fuel pump at the boat ramp where you can swipe your credit card and fill up right there. There’s plenty of truck and trailer parking if you choose to launch for free from Everglades Isle. Everglades Bait and Tackle will take your live bait orders if you reserve by Wednesday. Island Café will take orders for boxed lunches. You can pick them up at 6am on Sept. 21.

Attached is this year’s registration form. Cost is still only $200 per boat with 2-5 anglers! CCPS students with their own boat, only $50. And new On-Shore Junior Angler’s only $50!

If you own a business or know someone who does that would like to be a sponsor for our event, please let me know and I will get them the information. We have added a new sponsor option this year. The Saltwater Sponsor is $50 and it will sponsor 1 junior angler in our fishing fundraiser tournament! That includes their tournament entry, shirt and dinner ticket!

Kid’s All American Fishing Derby Cape Coral 2019

The Cape Coral Yacht Club is pleased to host the 23rd Annual “Kid’s All American Fishing Derby” on Saturday, September 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Open to children ages 5-15 at a cost of $8 per child, this year’s fishing derby will include angler education, bait, one hour of fishing time, awards, and continental breakfast for participants. In addition, each participant will receive a complimentary rod and reel compliments of Fish Florida!

Please note: Parents are asked to help their children put together their new fishing rods. Instructions and a demonstration for assembling the fishing rods will be given that morning.

Additional breakfasts for parents or siblings can be purchased for $4 each.

Space is extremely limited, so advanced registration is required and will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
