Big Boys bait and Tackle For Questions, please contact Shelly Keesling at 941-628-1726 Photo Release Tournament for Logan Belisle On June 28th 2018, an accident occurred that changed the life of Logan Belisle forever and took both of his legs. On July 20th, we saw our community come together in an awe-inspiring way to support him and the long road he faced in our first Tight Lines for Logan Tournament. Logan is just now starting to use his prosthetics and adjust to his new normal. We hope that you will join us for another tournament in his honor, and meet the young man in person. The proceeds will not only go to helping Logan, but the money raised from the castnet rodeo will be donated to the American Cancer Society in honor of Frank Diasparra, who helped with our first tournament. We are also in the process of reaching out to another child who is facing a similar situation as Logan, for a mentorship program and to help monetarily from the raffle proceeds. #BELISLESTRONG Entry Fee - $300 for up to 4 Anglers Tournament winners will be based off of largest in length Snook, Redfish, & Trout. This tournament is a catch and release only. Scoring fish will be photographed via Smartphone and texted back to headquarters to be recorded. We will once again be holding a “Castnet Rodeo” at the Captains Meeting, and a raffle auction at the Tournament ceremony. Captain Rhett Morris will be overseeing the event. 4130 Pine Island Rd NW, Matlacha, FL 33993, USA https://fish-florida.com/event/heroes-inshore-slam-tournament-series-2019-matlacha-2/2019-07-27/ SWFL’s first Paddle Craft Fishing Tournamnet Series! 2nd Tournament in 4 part series! The 2019 Heroes Inshore Slam Tournament Series will be a paddle craft only, Florida Inshore Slam, catch photo release (CPR) tournament series. The objective is to catch and photograph the largest Florida inshore slam in total combined inches of each of the following species of fish: one (1) Red Drum, one (1) Snook, and one (1) Spotted Seatrout. A Slam is not required to place in the competition but a Slam will supersede a 2 fish bag and a two (2) fish bag will supersede a one (1) fish bag.
100% of the Tournament Series Proceeds will benefit the Southwest Florida Chapter of Heroes on the Water (HOW). Heroes on the Water helps our Nation’s active duty warriors, and veterans from all branches of the United States military and first responder communities unwind using the therapeutic qualities of fishing from kayaks. What looks like a day trip of paddling and fishing is in fact something much deeper and long-lasting. HOW provides “Triple Threat Therapy” (mental, physical, and occupational) to treat physical and mental disabilities attributed to the warrior’s service to our Nation.
The Tournament Series will take place in Southwest Florida: Competitors may launch from and fish any publicly accessible Southwest Florida waters. All competitors must physically check in at Gulf Coast Kayak located at 4120 Pine Island Rd, Matlacha, FL 33993 no later than 3pm EST on the day of each competitive event in the series. Let’s Do It On Foot, Salt & Freshwater
As requested by class members, here you go. Not everyone has access to a boat, and that’s ok. I personally love fishing from shore and along creeks and waterways. I’ll cover it all and show the latest lures and equipment for a sucessful day. Yes, the wacky worm will be included.Welcome to Florida’s Largest Online
