Big Greg Leonard’s Longest Redfish Tournament

This year’s $25 an Angler, Longest Redfish Tournament will help Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Foundation to sponsor youths during our Summer Youth Fire Academy.

Every year in June in conjunction with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, we host a Summer Youth Fire Academy. Local youth ages 14-18 years old practice in a two week program where firefighting skills are used as the vehicle for engaging youth in series of classroom and interactive, structured activities designed to build character, develop leadership skills, and enhance vocational career. We need your support!

These young men and women are our next generation. At this camp they learn First Aid, CPR, Disaster Preparedness, Physical Fitness, Team building, Leadership Skills, Character Development, Increase of Self-Esteem, Basic Medical training, Hands-On Experience with Fire Rescue Equipment and more. They also learn the different divisions of fire rescue. They will get uniforms, certificate of completion, meals, a graduation after their camp and a professional fire rescue member as a mentor.   813-545-9988
