Yes it’s true, 10 years and still going… still growing! You are invited to join us for the 10th Annual Islamorada Shark Fly Tournament! This is a one of a kind tournament featuring two days of fly fishing for one of the most feared predators that swim in the ocean. This year we have made a few exciting changes to help keep the playing field level, and the excitement building. For 2019 this will be an individual angler tournament only. We have decided to remove the ladies and team divisions and go back to our original format for the 10th anniversary of the Islamorada Shark Fly.
The tournament is an all release fly fishing event using 20lb class tippet, which will be provided by Florida Keys Outfitters. This is an individual angler tournament with no more than two anglers per boat allowed. Only registered anglers may cast, hook and play the fish. All tackle, casting and fishing must comply with the tournament rules which will be of I.G.F.A. format. A complete set of rules will be supplied in advance of the tournament and reviewed at the Captain and Anglers Rules meeting at the Kickoff.
All proceeds from this tournament will go to the We Fish for Kids Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) which benefits our kids in the Monroe Country Public School System.
To hold your spot, please complete and return the Entry Form with entry fee, by March 12th, 2019. Only the first 25 anglers signed up and paid in full will be part of the Islamorada Shark Fly so don’t wait till the last minute! Entry fees are non refundable.
