First Annual Red Grouper Bash Fort Myers Beach 2023

…RULES…

The 2023 First annual Red Grouper Bash will be a shotgun start out front of the Sanibel lighthouse. Check in will start at 5:30 AM. All teams must check in with starter boat which will be a 34 nortech with 2 pole flags located out front of the Sanibel lighthouse Pier. Once checked in all further questions or concerns can be handled via channel 69. Shotgun start time will begin April 8th 6:30 AM and back to the dock no later than 3:30 PM. All vessels will need to be in sight of a spotter will be placed at Bowditch point. This tournament will be restricted to a max depth of 120 ft. No bent butt rods or electric reels will be allowed during the duration of the tournament. Weigh in will be measured off of the 2 largest grouper. Grouper chose for weigh in will be anglers choice. Anglers will be allowed to carry a personal scale to help in deciding which fish will be weighed for each boat. All teams in the money will have fish gutted to confirm no alterations have been made to the fish. A polygraph test will also be conducted for all teams in the money. This tournament will be regulated abiding by FWC regulations (Red grouper must be 20 inches). We will also have a snapper calcutta which will be drawn the day of the captains meeting. The Calcutta will be measured off of overall length.

Tournament entry $500 per boat (4 persons) any additional angler after 4 is $150 per person!

King Fish Calcutta $300 Entry per boat!
