Plantation on Crystal River’s Annual Redfish Classic Tournaments mission is to produce the area’s best family-friendly Redfish Tournament while showcasing Plantation on Crystal River and our Sponsors of the event in a professional and upscale manner. While Redfish is the primary quest, there will also be categories for trout and grouper along with a Youth & Ladies Division.
Welcome Reception, September 21st Friday, 6 p.m.
A Captain’s Welcome Reception will be held on Friday, Sept. 21st at 6 p.m. in Magnolia Ballroom, the largest meeting space at the Plantation, which holds up to 225 people. The reception will include hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. The primary purpose of the reception is to inform all anglers of the rules and regulations of the tournament and give sponsors/vendors a chance to showcase their products.

Awards Dinner, September 22nd, 7 p.m.
We will hold a Captain’s Award Dinner Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. in Magnolia Ballroom. Again we will have 8ft rectangle tables around the outside of the room for Redfish Sponsor tables. We will have eight-top round tables along with a buffet in the Pine Room (adjacent to Magnolia Ballroom). The goal of the dinner is to showcase the resort and sponsors with an upscale dinner buffet while participants receive their awards from the tournament.
Fishing Tournament, September 22nd , daylight to 5 p.m.
The tournament will be held Sept. 22 from 6.a.m. (lines in the water) to 5 p.m. All anglers will be allowed to start fishing (lines in the water) at 6 a.m. Fishing tournament rules will be available in advance on PlantationonCrystalRiver.com & Plantationredfishclassic.com. Prizes will include first, second and third place for largest redfish, trout and grouper. All anglers must be in line for weigh in by 5 p.m. Registration is $150/ $200 per boat for 2 anglers, which includes two tickets to the Captain’s Welcome Reception and Captain’s Award. Registration will also include a great swag bag!
